South Side Soul presents J Williams & the OGB’s

Big Mouth kicks off our South Side Soul series with the platinum recording artists “Josh” J Williams & the OGBs.

Our first guests are an all round experienced touring band that collaborates platinum recording artist J Williams (NZ) as the front-man on lead vocals with a back line of extremely talented Melbourne based musicians.

Josh Williams aka ‘J Williams’ has come a long way since his humble beginnings back in South Auckland, New Zealand.
In 2009, he released his debut album ‘Young Love’. The album reached number 5 on the New Zealand charts, gaining a GOLD status. ‘Young Love’ was followed by popular collaborations with the likes of Scribe, Dane Rumble and international signed artist Maino.

J Williams has travelled around the world sharing his music. America, Japan, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Rarotonga and a special highlight was touring his home islands of Samoa and American Samoa in 2012.
He has released the album ‘Virgo’ with 4 singles and videos, and collaborations featuring well-known NZ artists such as Brooke Duff, K One and Dane Rumble.

From 2013 – 2016, he worked with Disney’s Australian The Lion King theatre show as the understudy for the main character of Simba. He also appeared on Australia’s ‘The X Factor’ in 2016, and successfully made it through as Guy Sebastian’s Top 12.

Williams is now based in Melbourne and is planning a series of live shows which will reflect a number of his musical influences including Soul, Funk and R & B. Join him and the OGBs for the first of these shows at Big Mouth St Kilda
