MY ST KILDA ARTS TOURISM ACCOUNT
With a business degree from Georgetown under his belt, comedian Jim Gaffigan has the credentials to make serious business out of cracking people up. Known for his self-deprecating wit on the subjects of laziness, eating, and being American, Gaffigan has released nine comedy albums and appeared in numerous films and TV shows since his 2001 debut Luigi’s Doghouse. His 2012 album Jim Gaffigan: Mr. Universe served up more food humor with bits like “Domino’s” and “McDonald’s,” earning him a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. In 2013 Gaffigan released his memoir Dad is Fat to rave reviews, adding the subjects of fatherhood and children to his popular stand up act. Gaffigan is no stranger to the stage – in addition to stand up, his long list of acting credits includes roles in Super Troopers, The Love Guru, and recurring appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. On the 2013 White Bread Tour, Gaffigan kept ticket buyers howling with his hilarious commentary and deadpan delivery, earning a reputation as one of the best live concerts in comedy.
