Jazzy Jeudi – The new Impromptu Quartet and Mikey Chan

Exploring a world of styles and influences from jazz to latin, funk, drum n bass and soul with a fresh and open musical approach the New Impromptu Quartet comprises pianist Alexander Nettelbeck , bassist Rory Brown and drummer Andrew Horneman. Joining the group for this show will be guitarist Mikey Chan. The New Impromptu Quartet’s range is diverse: energetic danceable grooves, deep rhythmic bass lines and driving percussion characterise the quartet’s sound. The band will be playing a selection of original compositions and arrangements of some of their favourite standards.
