Serving up inventive new arrangements of blues standards by artists such as Robert Johnson, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix and Cream to name but a few, Mark Hughes and the Temple of Blues offer a fresh take on the traditional sounds of the blues with a soulful injection of funk.

The band stands as an alternative to the standard Melbourne blues combo with its choice of material and its approach, covering several genres including funk and soul, but can also play more traditional blues with authority and authenticity.

Mark Hughes and the Temple of Blues bring a rare combination of experience and enthusiasm to their live performances, and a commitment and belief to every song at every gig that sets them apart from other acts in the genre.

St Kilda Comedy Club and association with St Kilda Art Crawl are featuring Mark Hughes on vocals and guitar, Malcolm Foo on keyboards, Jeremy Zatorski on bass and Paul Richards on drums.
