St Kilda musical native and globetrotter Hugo Race performs his only Melbourne shows for 2018 with fellow traveler and close collaborator, Michelangelo Russo, at the fabulous Alliance Francaise on Grey Street, St Kilda.

The duo, who played some 70 shows worldwide in the last 12 months from Brisbane to to Barcelona to Budapest, will perform semi-unplugged with guitar, harmonica, beats and drones behind Race’s uniquely evocative baritone voice in the very intimate surrounds of a haunted basement with absolutely limited capacity (50 persons) so book now, this event will sell out!

Drawing on material from the duo’s critically acclaimed masterpiece “John Lee Hooker’s World Today”, and from Race’s albums with his bands Fatalists and True Spirit, expect song-driven electro-acoustic soundscapes and a compelling immersion in sound, rhythm, narrative and video imagery.

Hugo Race is released globally by Glitterhouse Records Germany and Gusstaff Records Poland and locally through Rough Velvet Records.

There will be vinyl and CD records for sale as well as autographed copies of Race’s 2016 memoir, “Road Series”.
