Frank Howson is a true Renaissance Man in the classic tradition. Frank took to painting about six years ago and his work has developed and grown.
Frank’s paintings are unique and show true craftsmanship with a flair for the period of early modernism. The work of Marc Chagall comes to mind, the innocent drawings and faces show a life time love of humanity and existence. Also the brilliant work of Henri Rousseau and the naive and primitivism schools from the modernist period comes to mind. Frank’s colours are strong and his brush work is bold, but he can change and refine his style for more detailed observations of crowds and other subjects.
