April 22, 2018 @ 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Theatre Works Masterclass Series Presents

Theatre and Performance Making with Dr Ralf Rauker
20 – 22 April
10 am – 4 pm

Before formulating and trying out strategies of creating original theatre and performance material, this workshop will look at the shift from Theatre to Performance that has occurred throughout the 20th century. A series of lectures and tutorials will discuss and practically explore the work of some groundbreaking theatre and performance makers and challenge the participants to formulate their own strategies of creating original theatre and performance material. It is not about copying the avant-garde of the past, but expanding ones own boundaries of perception and practice. The group of participants can be divers. A mix of actors, directors, dramaturges, writers, designers and others is welcome. However, this mix is not a prerequisite. A group of acting students would benefit from this workshop, as well as a class of directing students.

3-day intensive workshop
A minimum number 10 places for the class to proceed
